As government takes on a bigger and bigger role in our daily lives, politics tags along. Mind you, neither government nor politics should take top priority in our personal or communal lives. There are much better things we should be focused on, like work, family, play, and charity. But we are currently in an ideological battle: allow government to seep into every crevice of our lives, denying us the freedom to pursue our own happiness; or to hold back and even cut off that black oil know as big government from ruining our American way of life.
